The team hold regular training sessions both in the huts as well as practical exercises on the hill. This training includes rope work, care of the casualty and first aid, helicopter safety, navigation and the use of radios. Members also attend specialist training courses in other parts of Scotland on subjects such as first aid, avalanche awareness and rigging for mountain rescue.
The slideshow below shows an exercise in April 2010. The training involved lowering a casualty in a stretcher on the Cioch slabs and rigging a tyrolean traverse across a gulley.
The second half of the slideshow shows a winter exercise in December 2009. The day included searching for and locating a casualty near the Bhasteir tooth in Coire a' Bhasteir. The casualty was then lifted in a stretcher up to Bealach nan Lice and lowering down Fionn Choire.
